As the days of this New Year go by so quickly words are a jumble. I sit down to write over and over again and all that comes out are a few jumbled up words so I hit the delete button and try again later. I guess it is because we have been busy and I have been just doing and wanting to do more. My computer has started to gather dust. I didn’t want the memories of this New Year to be forgotten so I sit here now to record them. The windows behind my head are open and I can feel a breeze. The weather is just lovely. This January we have escaped some icy cold. Not only today, but we went to the Great Wolf Lodge, an indoor water park, and we had a blast. Getting away from home was just the break Cullen and I needed. We left our worries for a couple of days. The kids also had a blast. Gregory couldn’t get enough of the water slides and Lucy was pleased to splash and ride the lazy river with me. We went out to eat, which we rarely do. We ate both appetizers and desserts. Mostly we relaxed. It was a wonderful trip.
After all that we had to come home and home is always nicer when you have been away for a few days. There is truly nothing like your own bed. I also knew that being around many people is a sure way to get sick. Thursday Gregory came down with a cold. Yesterday Lucy picked it up. Today Cullen isn’t feeling the best. I am hoping I will escape the germs. It is much easier caring for my children with a clear head. I am sure the next few days will be the deciding factor. I am glad we went even though we have to deal with runny noses now.
I have also picked up my crochet hook lately. I have missed it.
I read the new Steven King book “Under the dome” and a few other books by other authors.
Life has kept me moving.
Cullen and I have been watching Heroes from the first season to the fourth, which we are on now. I wouldn’t understand it at all without his description. It has been a fun show.
2010 so far has been quite good.

The water park sounds wonderful-and yes, there is no place like home.
Glad to hear 2010 is being good to you. And fingers crossed you escape the cold germs.
