Splashing on the balcony

Well, Gregory has been home all week due to diarrhea. Daddy was able to take him to the park yesterday, because daddy can drive and get home in case an explosion happens. Mommy on the other hand needs to stay near home, because walking after an explosion is a bit harder. Anyway that was a bit gross.
Maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned that.

Well, this morning I filled up a bin with water and put it on the balcony. Gregory had his big blue bucket, two little bowls, a cow, a funny monkey, and a little Elmo to play with in the water. It was fun. He splashed everywhere. He soaked himself and the beach towel. His laughter made the water mess worth it.

Gregory is sleeping now. He acts like he feels good. I am happy about that even though his body isn’t acting the way it should. I am home from work today caring for him. I have only worked Tuesday and Thursday this week. Daddy took care of Gregory on those days. I pray that his body returns to normal soon.

Angela, this post got me thinking; it is starting to sound like G's snot and diarrhea may be related. Both can be mucus membrane responses to inflammation of some sort. Push for allergy tests and ask them to include all the common food allergens. You might also want to consider a test for celiac disease. I know it's a pain inthe neck but you may beed to keep a food diary for a month (at least a couple of weeks) detailing what Gregory eats and how his health is. it might help you pinpoint sensitivities which may not necessarily be a full-blown allergy. (I am not "allergic" to wheat, dairy, shellfish in the strictest sense but I DO get a reaction which casues severe stomache bloating, gastric troubles, congestion, skin breakouts, etc. if I eat them over long periods of time.)

Email me if you want some more info or oare uncertain how to go about it. (niksmother at gmail dot com)

Hope G feels better soon!

Water can be like a magic cure sometimes. I hope he's on the mend.

I'm glad he seems happy, even if he's not 100%. That just makes things that little bit easier to manage.

Courtney – Thanks he is doing a bit better since yesterday

Niksmom – I think the diarrhea had to do to an allergic reaction to his medication. He also has been having less snot problems at the end of this past week. So, I am unsure what that means exactly. I think I will get some allergy testing done. I really appreciate the suggestions.

Jenn @ Juggling Life – Yep there is nothing like splashing in water on a hot day.

Violet – I am thankful for that

Amy – a bit now.

Eagles' Wings – Thanks

KM – It is hard not to worry when he is sick.

Shan – he is, but there still are some issues. Thanks

Poor guy. I am glad he is feeling better. Last year, TC was on an antibiotic and it made him have dhiarrhea too.
