Today Cullen, Gregory and I went to the Baltimore Aquarium. It was only a little over an hours drive. It was a lot of fun. We went to the dolphin show. I wasn’t very impressed, but that is probably because I am blind. I was only able to spot the dolphin three times for maybe five seconds each time. Cullen and Gregory seemed to like it though. Gregory just loved looking at the fish. One of the tanks had a clown fish in it and Gregory went up and saw the fish and said “Nemo fish”. Oh and when he first saw the dolphins he asked if they were sharks. Gregory loves sharks.
The aquarium even had an alligator. Cullen told me to stand up on the ledge so I could try to see it. This is the conversation that went on.
Me – “Where is the alligator?”
Man standing near the tank – “its right there” he said this in a very demeaning tone to me like I was stupid or something.
Cullen – “She’s blind”
Man standing near the tank – “Oh” He said much quieter and probably feeling like he was the stupid one.
Me – “I can’t find it. Wait, I see it! I see the alligator. Cullen I saw the alligator. Isn’t that great I saw it.” I was excited
Cullen – “Yeah Angela” said as he walks to the next tank.
That man stuck his foot in his mouth. Maybe next time he will think before he is rude to a perfect stranger. I did have my cane with me but most people just ignore it and think I have it for fun. I guess it is fun not running into things.
After the fun aquarium trip we were very hungry and decided to go to the Hard Rock Café. A perfect restaurant for a two year old, because people are expected to walk around and look at everything. The picture above this post was taken in the restaurant.
Full and tired we headed home.
I found the new canes Cullen ordered at the door. It was happy to sad, because he ordered the wrong ones. I like folding canes and he ordered strait. Oh well I still need them. I am going to have to order a folding one soon.
I just can’t let these little frustrations stand in my way of being happy.
So, that was my day.
Also thanks for all the book suggestions. I am excited to start listening to some of these.

I love the clown fish too. Ever since Nemo, I get just as excited when I see a clown fish as the kids do!! That movie sure did a lot of clown fish - didn't it? I'm glad you had fun at the acquarium and then at the restaurant - cute picture! Have a good day tomorrow Angela - see you soon. Kellan
Sounds like our kind of day. Aquariums, zoos, museums. We're there!
Stupid man. Hopefully he learned a lesson!
Darling picture!!
Love the picture and what a stupid ignorant person. I don't understand why people have to butt in when noone asked them. I'm glad you had fun at the aquarium and lunch.
I have been to that aquarium and had a great time. Glad that you had a wonderful trip!
Glad you had such a wonderful day. Great picture!
Hopefully, alligator-man will think twice before he speaks next time? Glad you saw the gator before IT saw you! (wink)
Very cute picture! Your hair is so long and pretty.
Sounds like it was a wonderful day despite a little foot in mouth disease.
