Six Month Doctor Visit
Gregory had his six month doctor visit today. He is doing so well. He weighed 17 pounds 12 ounces. He is 29 inches long and his head is 17 3/4. What a big boy. He is so long I guess I ate too many green beans. Gregory also got two shots today. He is sleeping now. The shots always exhaust him. I am so happy to have such a sweet baby.

In youth we learn; in old age we understand.
~Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach
I understand what youth is, I am learning still. I still have my youth, I guess. My question is what constitutes old age. Because, some of the people who I think are at old age still don’t understand.

Going To Florida
This upcoming Wednesday Gregory will take his first plane trip. We are going to Florida to see Gommy and Pop, while Daddy stays here and works. Pop has not seen Gregory yet and he can’t wait to hold his little Grandson. It is exciting. I am going to leave Writer here with Cullen, because a baby and a guide-dog are a bit much to handle on a plane by myself. On top of that flying is so hard on Writer anymore. My poor dog hates flying, not that I blame her.
I also am thinking about joining the mom’s club. I found it online @ www.momsclub.org. It seems like a nice group. They are going to send me a calendar for April. They meet during the day and most of the members are stay at home moms like me. It would be nice to go out once a week with other moms. I am still collecting information, so I will let you know how it goes.
Cullen and I also have been practicing on our guitars. We are not the best yet, but we are having fun. We have a book and a video. When I get back from Florida Cullen is going to get me guitar lessons. So, that’s something to look forward to.
I have too much to do, but nothing new going on. Life is great.

It Is More Than Love
My sweet baby is sleeping. He is so amazing. I can’t believe how much he has grown and changed in the past six months. I can’t believe I have been a mother for that long either. I am so happy to be with my child during the day and listen to him breathe over the baby monitor at night. The attachment I have with him is like nothing I have ever felt before, especially when he is nursing. He just curls into me, like there is nothing else in the world that makes him so satisfied. I also did not realize how satisfied I would feel by breastfeeding him. It just feels so right. I believe that is one of the reasons Gregory cries so rarely. Gregory knows I am there for him and I am able to take care of his needs. My child is so amazing, so wonderful, and so delightful. He is my son and when I say that, I think of the sun, so bright and warm. Gregory is bright and warm. I can’t fully describe in words how I feel for him. It is love, but more!

I Love My Dad
I love many people. One of those people I love is my dad. Today he made me feel special. We went out for breakfast, did his laundry, ate, and watched movies. It was special. It was just me and my dad. Well, we were also with the most special little boy in the world too, Gregory. And then my dad went home and I now miss him.
Thanks for the great day Dad!

Weekly Quote
Happiness is a healthy mental attitude, a grateful spirit, a clear heart full of love.
~Anonymous
That is a nice description. It just makes you want to have some happiness.
Speaking of happiness Cullen was happy when I said it was alright with me for him to take a trip down to Charlottesville to see his friends. He enjoys going down there. It gets him out of the house to do guy things. Well his guy things are on the computer. So, he packed his computer up and took it with him.
Cullen is spending the night down there. I prefer it that way so I don’t have to worry about him driving so late at night to get back home. He can sleep on a couch and I get my lovely soft bed. Oh I do love my bed. Speaking of bed, zzz… oh zzz Oh yeah, I, well, Goodnight.

First Tooth
Gregory’s first tooth is coming in. It is on the bottom. I felt it yesterday. No wonder he has been drooling so much. I am so excited about everything he does. He is growing up so fast. Before I know it he will be losing teeth instead of having them come in.
