Weekly Quote
Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.
~Helen Keller
Growing up I learned many things. I heard of things that I did not understand, but eventually came to understand. I did things when I was young because people told me to do them, but I did not know why. Now I know why (for the most part). I have learned many things and I know there are still more things for me to learn.
That is what is nice about time. You don’t have to know everything at once. Learning is done over time and at different rates.
Right now I am learning about my son. Who he is, what he likes, and what he does not like. I could not learn this in a minute and even if I could he changes every day so I would have to learn new things.
When I was in college I asked my dad what if I don’t get a job that requires a college education, won’t the money being spent on my education be a waste. He said no, because education is not a waste and learning is important.
Now I am glad I went to college. I learned many things. I believe that what I learned helped make me who I am. I became more informed. It took me four years to get through college. Four years seemed like such a long time to me, but it went very quickly. Now I am a mother and learning new things every day. One thing I have learned is how to love in a silly, caring, understanding, patient way. I learned that my emotions are reflected in my child, I smile and he smiles, I cry and he cries. Therefore, I teach him how to be happy and sad. I show him how to express himself. My love for him will teach him to love.

What To Do?
When you have a baby and your baby is sleeping you have several choices:
1. Watch your baby sleep
2. Sleep
3. Work – house cleaning/bills/etc…
4. Fun – computer/read/watch TV/etc…
Most of the time I choose to do things in this order. Well I don't watch Gregory sleep as much as I did when he was first born. Usually now when I watch him when he is sleeping I am too lazy to get up and put him down. Sometimes sleep and work get switched though. It is all about love though. I can’t imagine my life without little Gregory. I just wanted everyone to know why my posting has been less frequent. Although those of you with children or who have had children probably already understood that.
Gregory’s baptism went very well. He was such a good baby, like always. He did not mind the Holy Water. Some family and friends were able to come see Gregory on his special day.
Oh and Gregory is so close to learning how to crawl. He gets his bottom up in the air and plows forward like a bulldozer. He is also rolling over so much now. He rolls all over the living room. I just can’t believe how mobile he is now.
I am very happy he is doing so well, because last week he was sick. Daddy was sick too, so I did not get much sleep. I am sure glad his sleeping is getting back to normal. Last night. He did not sleep well, but better than the week before. I get so tired and a headache and a little down without a full night sleep. I know I will eventually catch up with sleep though. At least I am losing sleep over something as wonderful as my precious baby.
Oh one more thing Gregory can stay in a sitting position now by himself too.
Well sleep is important so I will head off to bed. SMILES!

Smiles
Well, everything is going great. It is just hard to be on the computer unless Gregory is asleep because it is hard to type with a wiggle worm in your arms. I am a very happy mom. Gregory is doing very well except for a cold. He got his first cold. I think he picked it up at my birthday party. Both Cullen and Gregory are sick. Gregory’s little nose keeps running. I feel so sorry for my two men. I have been pretty lucky by not getting it, yet anyway. Oh and my birthday party was fun I enjoyed myself I am another year older. Cullen got me a cake that must have been from Gregory, because it said “happy birthday mommy”. It was very pretty and bright purple. Oh and Gregory got me a ring with his birthstone in it. I just love it. It makes me think of him, not that I don’t think of him every waking minute.
Oh and Gregory is being baptized this Sunday. I have a little outfit for him. I am excited.
Well Cullen is coming home so I am going to go. So much to do.
