Gregory Joseph

Well I had my baby. He is a beautiful baby boy. We named him Gregory Joseph. Gregory weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is so wonderful. He was born on September 21 at 6:09 pm. Labor was hard but that is why it is called labor. That went well though. Towards the end I was crying, because I was tired and emotionally exhausted. Once I had him I cried even more. I was so happy! He was so perfect. I could not believe I had this little life inside me. I just love him so much. Cullen got to cut the cord. Cullen was also great during the labor. He watched everything and was very supportive. Cullen also got to change one of Gregory’s first diapers. Cullen is such a cute daddy!

The first night home was Friday. It was a little rough. We did not get much sleep, but all three of us made it through. We took him to the pediatrician and the first visit went great. We ended up taking him back to the pediatrician on Tuesday because he had a bump on his head and we were concerned. The doctor said it looked like someone accidentally scratched him and the spot swelled up a little, but he is ok. Oh yeah, he regained all of his birth weight by the visit on Tuesday. He was down to 7 pounds 4 ounces when we left the hospital. Now all that weight is back. He is a very healthy baby.

Everyone just loves Gregory. He is very cute. I am the happiest mommy in the world. He is such a wonderful part of my life. I can’t believe he is mine forever my little boy. You know there are many wonderful things in life to experience and having a little Gregory has to be at the top of that list. What a miracle.
