Busy Like I Should Be

I have been busy running here and there. Today Grandma and I went and got our hair done. I needed a trim. I had not had my hair done for over a year. It looks much nicer now. My Grandma is all pretty too.
Writer turned seven on the eleventh of June. A gift for Writer from Deanna, Michael, and Jessica came in for her birthday. It was addressed to me. I opened the box and Writer would just not leave it alone. I told her to stop, but she knew that it was for her even before I knew. There were lots of different things. A toy programmed to say a phrase that you record, a squeaker toy, a toy that rattled, bones, and many other little things. Writer was a very happy doggie. The gift was very sweet. Both Writer and I appreciated it very much.
My sister gave me a cool charm bracelet. It is very neat. I don’t have anything like it. Also, one of the women my mom works with gave me a butterfly shaped necklace with the stone mother of pearl in it. It is very pretty too. I am happy to get it. So, I am being spoiled like I should be.
Oh there is good news from Virginia. Cullen is holding up, but misses me and we haven’t gotten any bills yet (Smile). I could not ask for more (just kidding, a person can always find something to ask for, even if it is just a glass of water).
Well, I am happy, healthy, but miss Cullen. So, I am good. HOG is also doing well, but not moving as much, I think it is because HOG also misses Cullen with his wonderful voice. So, Cullen you are loved and missed. Don’t you forget that. Everyone else remember to get your daily dose of chocolate, it is good for you.

Fun In Idaho and Virginia

My trip to Idaho has gone well so far. I have been enjoying myself. I played pinochle. Yesterday I won two games playing with my Grandma F. It was a lot of fun. I do enjoy that game. The best part is no one takes the game to seriously, so if you mess up it is ok. I also went shopping with my Grandma W. She picked out HOG some cute receiving blankets and a couple of bibs. She got me some 3 Musketeers bars and boy did they taste good. I had not had one of those in a long time.
Well while I was having fun here Cullen was having fun in Virginia. He went to Kings Dominion. He seemed to enjoy himself. He even remembered to wear sun block. Cullen went with his sister Keely, her husband, and their friend. I am glad he got to go with someone, because it is not the best idea to go to a theme park when you are pregnant. So, he would probably have gone by himself if he went at all this summer.
Well, that is it for now. Have a peachy day!

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Just think if the inventors of electric light and the telephone had not followed their dreams. What do you think life would be like now?

Hail

Today was a little chilly, but nice. We got hail. So, yesterday a tiny bit of snow and today a little hail. Oh, and both yesterday and today we got rain. The crazy weather is not bad though. It is actually nice for a change. You know, escaping the heat and humidity.
I played hearts with my dad, Kathy, and Kristen tonight. Kathy and I ended up winning. Dad wanted to break the tie, but we did not. It was too much fun frustrating him. The cards were a lot of fun. I also played yesterday with my sister. I really enjoy playing.
I am sleepy and probably am going to try to go to sleep soon. Tomorrow is Monday. Well, I guess it is Monday now but I haven’t gone to sleep so it doesn’t count as Monday yet. You know my logic.
Well, take care everyone! Smile and be happy! Also, Cullen I miss you too! Oh and HOG and Writer say hi to everyone.

Snow

About an hour ago there were a few snowflakes. They melted before they hit the ground, but still it was snow. Also it was comfortable to go outside in short sleeves. So a warm snow in June is quite lovely.

Flowers Dad and family gave me at the airport Posted by Hello

Hey From Idaho!

Well, I made it to Idaho. Cullen and I got up at 4:45 this morning. We were going to get up at four but we slept through the alarms. Oh well. I made it to the airport on time. The flights went well the first flight was four hours long and the second was a half hour. Not bad. I hated leaving Cullen behind but he will be just fine. I do miss him though. HOG kicked when both the first flight and the second flight took off. It was funny. HOG did not mind the landings though.
My Dad, Kristen, Grandma, and Grandpa met me at the airport with some pretty flowers with butterflies on the covering. It was a nice surprise. We went to my Dad’s house and I took care of Writer and let her rest there. Then, we went out to lunch. We ate barbecue. It was good, but I was so full afterward. I walked back to the house with Dad and Kristen. The weather was perfect for walking, not too hot and not too cold.
We visited for awhile and then my mom called and I found out that my uncle was in town. She picked me up and I went to see him and my other grandparents. We had a nice visit.
Well, I came back still full, so I had water and a nice conversation with my family. It was very enjoyable and nice to see them. I haven’t been back here in over two years. It started getting late and I decided I wanted to play pinochle. My mom drove me back to My Grandparents F. We played till about ten. It was a lot of fun. My mom drove me back to dad’s house. Before I got out of the car HOG started kicking and so Mom was able to feel HOG kick.
Well, that is about it. I had a pretty good day and I miss my sweetheart. I will keep everyone updated. Smiles from Idaho!

Kicking!

Yesterday and today I went over to Chris and Jenn’s. Jenn and I played cards. I enjoy our games so much even if I lose. That is ok though. Today was fun. I had some yummy chocolate chip cookies. They made me feel good. You know me and chocolate. Well before Jenn took me home she felt HOG kick. How lovely. Jenn is the third person to feel HOG kick. So far it just has been Cullen, Jenn, and I that have felt the little kicks. They are lovely.
Cullen is also able to see the kicks by looking at my stomach. He gets such a kick (Smile) out of it. Another thing Cullen has been doing is talking to HOG and usually if Cullen puts his head on my belly and talks to HOG he gets kicked. It is like a game of the future – voice activated (just kidding).
Life is great and I am happy with myself, my husband, and my baby. On Friday I take off to Idaho to see the rest of my family. The only bad thing is that I have to leave my sweet husband behind. I guess one of us has to make the money to support this family. He is a good husband and I love him.
Well, my good mood just got better. Cullen is home! Good Night.

Weekly Quote

It is not easy to find happiness in ourselves, and it is not possible to find it elsewhere.
~Agnes Repplier

We have to remember that it is not what others do that makes us mad, but the problem we have with what others do. We choose more or less what bothers us. The people around us do not choose that. So, be happy because that is your own choice.

Now if I can only do it. Sometimes it is so hard not to get upset over little things. I guess it is my choice, goodness why can’t I just let things go. You know, I guess I better figure that out.
Thank you, Cullen, for being such an understanding husband.

I Finished It!

I never thought I would finish it. I got Cullen’s sister, Meghan, blanket finished. I crocheted granny squares. She wanted a black and red blanket so that is what she got. It will be a Christmas present. I posted it because several people said they wanted to see it.

Ouch!

Yesterday Cullen and I went to Wal-Mart to look around. You know, for fun. Well I like to touch things, because I can’t see them. We were in the lawn and garden part of the store and I found a cactus. OUCH!!! I found it by reaching out on a shelf and two of my fingers touching the needles (or whatever they are called). One of the needles got stuck in my finger and Cullen pulled it out for me. I thought he was going to say ”I told you not to touch everything” because he hates it when I feel stuff as I walk along, but he was nice and did not say that. Just the same I don’t think I will have a cactus in the house anytime soon, or ever.

June’s Creative Club

This month at the Creative Club we painted stepping stones. It went pretty well I made two and I think they turned out pretty well. It was fun! I enjoy getting together with everyone. I put the stones out in the back. During the winter the ground gets soggy and now with the stones we can get things out of the storage shed without walking on the grass. SMILES!!!
