How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!
~Maya Angelou
It is important for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes to keep them heroes. If we did not they would not be heroes. I believe it is not necessary to say she-roes, because both men and women can be heroes and on top of that she-roes just doesn’t sound right.

My Little HOG
Well, Cullen and I have been talking about names and we have decided that we like Haley, Hannah, Gregory, and Nicholas. The two that we will probably go with is Haley and Gregory. So, I either have Haley or Gregory in my belly. Therefore, H (Haley) O (or) G (Gregory). So, my little one is called HOG for now.

Easter Surprises
Well, Easter is on Sunday. Cullen and I have gotten many Easter surprises already. We got a package from my mom and a package from my dad and Kathy. My grandparents also sent me some yarn with a pattern to keep me busy. Today the doorbell rang and we got another package. It was flowers, a bunny, and chocolate from Deanna, Michael, and Jessica. It was a lovely surprise.
Cullen and I are going to make Easter phone calls. I usually would like to send happy cards, but it takes a lot more work to do those types of things when you are having morning sickness. Well, I am going to spend some time with my wonderful husband, before he goes to work.

A Lovely Day For Everything
Today was beautiful. Cullen and I got up, went shopping, and had a yummy lunch. Then we took out our bicycles and road. We then played with a soccer ball. It was so much fun. Unfortunately Cullen had to go to work. So, he changed and then took off for work. Jenn came and picked me up and we hit the stores. It is always fun to go shopping with someone else. We then went back to her home and ate dinner. Thanks for the food Jenn and Chris! It was yummy. Then we played some Uno. Jenn and I have an ongoing game. I am up to 1000 points. Jenn is only winning by a little. It is fun stuff though.
Cullen and I also registered for baby things yesterday. I know it is a little early, but with the internship that I will probably get I will not have much time to do those types of things. We went to Baby Depot and Babies R Us. It took a long time to register but Cullen and I both had fun doing it. Cullen is so excited about the baby. We registered for gender neutral things, because we are not going to find out the sex of our baby till it is born. That way it is a little more exciting. So, all you party poopers that wanted to know if we are having a boy or a girl will have to wait.

I Don't Feel Good
Life is crazy sometimes. I was sick all day yesterday. I stayed in bed till 7:30pm, because I was so sick. It is my baby’s fault, but that is ok. Then I got up and went to Chris and Jenn’s house. I played cards with Jenn and Stephanie. I had lots of fun. I can’t wait till I am done with morning sickness. Then today Cullen and I went to church. I enjoyed going except for the fact that I felt sick. Well, Cullen is at work and I think it is my nap time. So, feel free to join me.

My Surprise
This morning I got up, posted some stuff on my blog, took a shower, and got dressed. Then “ding dong” a package arrived at nine in the morning. That is an early package. My cousin Deanna sent me a box. In the box were lots of goodies. There were the cutest baby clothes. She sent a bunch of outfits with duckies, Pooh, bears, and other animals. She also sent some little sleepers that have elastic around the bottom. They were soft too. There was also a soft toy, rattle, and a pacifier. Everything was so lovely. It made my morning. Thanks Deanna! My baby is gunna look so cute.
Girl Time
Yesterday I had some lovely girl time. Jenn came and picked me up and we went to Target and Wal-Mart. For lunch we went to Olive garden. I enjoyed the time out without Cullen. Everyone needs their time apart. I had a bunch of fun. Then we went back to her house and we played Phase 10 and Jenn totally beat me, but she thinks I just let her win, just kidding. It was a good game and she won fair and square.
Oh and I thought I was done with morning sickness, but I guess not. I lost my lunch yesterday. That is alright though. I am sure I will feel better very soon. I also bought a pair of maternity pants yesterday. They look really nice. They are black with elastic in the back. They look like normal pants, which I am happy about. The pants feel so much better than my jeans, even though I am not that big yet. Overall everything is just peachy.

Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.

It never fails that children say they won’t be like their parents, but they usually turn out very similar to their parents. As stated by someone once: we are what we know (or something like that).

The Heartbeat
I had a doctor’s appointment today. I really like my doctor. He has a sense of humor. Well, at my appointment everything went great. My doctor used a Doppler to hear the baby’s heartbeat. Cullen and I heard the heartbeat. It was a little difficult for me to tell the difference between my heartbeat and the baby’s. Mine was slower, but it was still difficult for me to tell the difference. The doctor could tell very easily. Well, I am sure he has done it about a million times. I am very happy that everything is going well with this baby. Oh and what the doctor saw from the ultrasound he believes that my due date is still September 26 instead of the 22nd what the technician said. So, I believe that my baby’s due date is somewhere between the 22nd and the 26th of September. Either way my baby is doing well and that is all that matters. Oh, I haven’t gained any weight yet, because I have been so sick. The doctor said that I need to gain some weight and he was surprised I was still wearing jeans. Well, I am sure I am going to gain weight soon enough, now that I am keeping my food down. Well, there are many smiles at this end from both Cullen and myself; there has to be, life is good.

My Day
Well, everything is going great for Cullen and me. Today we went and looked at some baby beds and other things we will need for the baby. I enjoyed it very much. Then we came home made some sloppy-Joes for lunch and Cullen headed off for work. I took a lovely nap and started laundry, dishes, and other little things. I still need to iron and finish the dishes, but I will finish those things sometime.
I have a doctor’s appointment on Wednesday. I am hoping to hear the baby’s heartbeat at the appointment. It is amazing that I have a life growing inside of me. It is amazing and strange at the same time. To think the little tiny life inside of me will one day be a person.
Well, I am thirsty so I guess I should get some water. Have a lovely night.

Charity begins at home but should not end there.
~Thomas Fuller
I believe you should truly help those around you and once you are able to help those around you, you can help those who are not around you. I guess it is similar to the idea that if you can’t fix your own problems what makes you think you can fix others. It is important for us to help each other through life.

Oh Baby! Who Is Having A Baby?
Guess who is having a baby. It’s me! Yesterday Cullen and I went to get an ultrasound at the hospital. Cullen saw the baby moving around and the baby’s heartbeat. It was very exciting. They gave us three pictures. It is amazing that it is possible to see a baby so small in my belly. The baby is 5 cm from head to rump. They said the due date is September 22. I am 12 weeks along. It is very exciting. Cullen and I are so happy. So, if you did not know surprise!

My Chocolate and Potatoes
Well today I had mashed potatoes and chocolate milk. It was a very good part of my balanced diet. Cullen was sweet and got it for me. Tonight we are going over to visit with Jenn and Chris. Cullen and I always have so much fun with them.

The Creative Club / Writer / Forrest’s Grandpa / Everything Else
Jenn invited me to a club she is part of called the creative club. They do different creative things each month. I was a guest last weekend. We painted some glass window decorations. Jenn made sure I got the one with the butterflies. Isn’t she wonderful? I really enjoyed myself. It was fun spending time with everyone. Jenn has to host the next meeting and she is not sure what she will do yet, but I am sure it will be fun.
Jenn and I played a game called Phase 10. It is a great game. With my vision it is a little hard to play but I really had lots of fun. We have been doing lots of things together. It is so nice to have some good friends living so close by. We can just get together whenever, well when everyone is free.
Writer has also been sick lately. A week ago she was sneezing really badly for three days strait. She is not sneezing anymore, but she is throwing up now, for the past three days. Well, it isn’t too bad. She tends to get sick this time of year. She has done it ever since I got her. So, I have been taking extra care of my sweet Writer.
I have also been using a CCTV. Cullen’s friend Forrest brought it to me. Forrest’s Grandfather passed away and before he passed away he was going blind, so he used it to read. It takes what ever you put on it and enlarges the material, so it is easier to see. Well, Forrest’s Grandfather wanted me to have his CCTV. It has been helping me quite a bit. I can read some things that I would have just given up on before and gotten someone else to read for me.
Forrest’s Grandfather was a sweet man. I got to dance with him at a hotel one night. Forrest’s family was staying at a hotel near our apartment and they invited Cullen and me to enjoy some drinks and piano music at the hotel where they were staying. Cullen and I had a great time and I even danced with Forrest’s Grandfather. He was a very friendly man. I am glad I got to meet him and talk with him.
So, I am smiling, breaking my vacuum (It does not like me), and having fun. Have fun too. I am not in the mood to tell you how I broke my vacuum again. Maybe next time. I hope there isn't a next time.
